Coaching Staff 

Brian Henz

Coach Brian Henz has assisted the summer programs since the first year in 2008.  In 2012 Coach Henz, along with Coach Kammerer, took the over the coaching duties for the Cheetah's. 

Coach Henz currently works for Metropolitan Life in Aurora where he has been employed for 16 years.  Brian is also the Assistant Coach for Women's Cross Country at North Central College in Naperville, a position he has held since 2008.

Brian is a 1995 graduate of North Central College.  While there he was a 5-time All-American, twice in cross country and three times in track.  In 1993, Brian placed 5th at the NCAA Cross Country National Championship helping North Central to a record low Championship score of 32 points.

Coach Henz and his wife Lynn live in Oswego with their three children, Alexis, Nick and Cameron.

Tom Kammerer

Coach Kammerer's children have been involved with the Cheetah's since the first year in 2008.  In 2012 he and Coach Henz took over the daily coaching duties of the Cheetah's. 

Coach Kammerer is a detective sergeant with the Naperville Police Department.  He holds the record 1.5 mile standard test for police in Illinois, running the distance in 7:52.0! 

 In high school he was a state qualifier at 400 meters and also ran the mile in 4:37.  Tom ran at Parkland Junior College and then went on to Western Illinois University.

Tom and his wife Betsy live in Oswego along with their four children, Lucas, Madeline, Evan and Katie.

Betsy along with her sister, own and operate My Lil' Sisters Donut Shop in downtown Oswego.
