 Summer 2015

First Cheetah Mile Race Results

July 15th at Prairie Point Park

Nine year old Mariano Ramirez wins the overall title in a quick 6:58.  Audra Saderlind was the first girls and 2nd place overall running a fine time of 7:20.  There were 21 finishers in the race.  Great job to all the Cheetah's!!!

Mile Under the Lights 

High School, Junior High and Cheetah's to Race at OHS

July, 29th at the OHS Track.  Event will start at 8:00 p.m.  Cheetah's should arrive by 7:30.

One Mile age group races for all High School, Junior High, Cheetah's, Alum's and Parents.





Youth Running Camp has Started!!

The Cheetah's are running.  The camp meets at the Pavillion by the Splash Park near Prairie Point Elementary.  The scheduled days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Grades 2 thru 5

 The Cheetah Summer Cross Country Camp is designed as an introduction for girls and boys ages 2nd through 5th grade to the sport of cross country and distance running.  No previous running experience is necessary.  The team will practice three days per week and work to increase endurance through the course of the camp.  The campers will run 2 to 3 cross country races of one mile.

Panther Jr. High Camp

Grades 6 thru 8 

 The Panther Junior High Summer Cross Country Camp is recommended for all junior high girls interested in distance running and preparing for the fall cross country season.  This camp is also designed for newcomers as an introduction to cross country and distance running.  The campers will work to increase endurance and learn basic workouts such hill and interval training.  No prior running experience is necessary.  The team will practice 4 days per week and run two 1 mile cross country races.
